Ninja turtle

This is a character for a personal project. It started as a friends' drawing challenge, that's why I had a fixed pallete. This limited the possibilities but also helped me shape the character. The idea was to draw a turtle and I thought how could I make it dinamic and cool, so I started with the pose. I wanted strong legs for jumping and kicking, and instead of drawing a usual shell, I thought it would be cooler to have a special one, made of water, so they can fight physically and also use some magic, or ninjutsu. To link them more to the sea I draw corals on his feet and hair.
I had much fun with this design and I would like to keep drawing characters that would share the same world.
